It is good that someone will pick up the first stone and give it a toss.
I lived in a country that still stones people (No, not stoned like in California.). I always thought that it would be the most religious, the holiest person who go to throw the first one.
For a married man to commit adultery would be a stoning offense there, unless you are king or a relative in good standing.
