I see your point, Dennis, but I still strongly suspect the origins of the nickname. I, too, wondered about the lack of deletion of posts with no name. Unlike Gary, "noms de plume" don't really bother me, especially if an identifiable email address is included. My problem of late is with a regular poster who tries to be anyone else in the multiverse except himself. This even borders on the criminal when this poster assumes the identities of real alumi without their knowledge or permission.
Also, unlike said miscreant, I will confess here and now to being both Norfolk Natterer and Portsmouth, Virginia in hopes that it might get Eddie Lee's attention WITHOUT having to yell, "GET OUT THE ERASER, EDDIE, THEY'RE EATIN' THE DAMNED KIDS, AGAIN!". As for Ptown Observer, why not just post as Joseph Q. Alumnus '63, or the like, so that everyone could then say, "Hey Joe, thanks for the information!"?
