While working for many years at the old Monkey Ward store at the now-extinct Tower Mall, in Portsmouth, I walked into the Mens' Clothing Dept. one day & found some new Old Dimonion Athletic Sweaters on a rack, for sale. At a glance, I sensed something was not quite right & stared for an instant; then I saw it! There, proudly emblazoned on the front of each sweater were the words "Old Dominion University MONARKS". Well, they had the school colors right, anyway... True story.
