I am very glad that our friends Alarie and Janet do not shirk or shrink away just because some of us might be at times intimidating and do not agree with them. I have much admiration and respect for these two humans. If Ms. Brooks is still out there and, reading our posts, I think she could learn a lot from Janet and Alarie. Personally, I was honestly saddened and disappointed that Rasheedah gave up so easily. Ya here that Brooksie! If we are going to have to hand the reins of this country off to kids like you, we want and need you to be strong. We need you to be able to take some blows and setbacks but, be able to stand your ground. We need you to have the strength of character and resolve to confront and work to solve the problems you will be forced to deal with. We need you to believe in yourself which generates courage to stand up to the perils and evils of the 21st century. If I was your father, I would pin your ears back and yell at you to get back online with those people on the forum and, prove to them you are not a shrinking violet. If you shy away from this then you have disgraced your parents, grandparents, great grandparents, all the women of the world and, all of the American men and women who have sacrificed everything to give you Rasheedah, the RIGHT to speak your mind. And, finally to me. I may not agree with everything you might think or say but, you have just as much right to say it as I do and, I will defend your right to do so. I think you could learn some things from me, being a media specialist, musician, recording studio owner, historian, civil war reenactor and, truck driver. And, I'm sure we could learn some things from you too.
Speaking of civil war, if you haven't seen Glory, rent it, watch it. I personally know the guys in the 54th Mass. reenactment group. I have done some living history programs and reenactments with these guys over the years and have the highest regard for them. If you give up so easily then you have disgraced this fine group of AMERICANS, as well as the real 54th Mass. that attacked Fort Wagner in South Carolina, 1863.
So Rasheedah, stand up, brush yourself off, take the olive branch I'm holding out to you and, let's get to work kid. Time's a wastin!
And, finally, I hope I have done justice to the likes of our friends Janet and, Alarie.
