In keeping with the usual controversy I manage to create, here's my next one. I tend to agree with Mr. Gramm to a point, that being, we have become a bunch of thin skinned, whiners, with a loser mentality. Mental recession... no. Financial recession, heck yeah. I think we should all charge our gas to his name. That should give that old dustbag something to rub his gums on.
When some of us percieve even the slightest insult, we scream bloody murder and go scrambling back to the safety of our little enclaves and cliques. It seems that it has become a sort of social subculture to be so easily offended. Oh, and heaven forbid somebody says something that is now so fashionably classified as being Politically Incorrect. When that happens, we literally bath and wallow in our righteous indignation.
Yeah, we should also be sensitive to other peoples feelings but, we spend too much time bawling our eyes out and, get nothing else done.
BTW, I do think Obama outta give ole Jesse a good left hook. Hello jealousy. And on the dreaded N word, if it's not okay for white people, it shouldn't be okay for anybody. I think maybe Jesse ought to go to Bad Boy Potty Mouth School with Michael Richards and Don Imus.
I have a very black friend who suggested we get Barrack and Jesse to do a MTV claymation style Celebrity Death Match. Now, my friend Lee is truly a American,no, human success story. Never knew his dad, mom was a cokehead. Lee got bounced around from one relative to another. Quite a few times he was living in abandoned cars and buildings while in high school. A lot of times his teachers gave him money for food, clothing, etc. Some even let him stay in their homes because they believed in this skinny, dirty, little patchwork black kid. His teachers believed in him so much that they pooled their money and with some other resources paid his way in full for his 1st year of college. He worked 2 part time jobs the rest of the way through college but, he never gave up. He is now a highly paid and respected civil engineer. Now, he can be at times really hardcore to the point where he makes Bill Cosby look like Mr. Rogers but, he can also be one of the most generous and compassionate humans I've ever met. And, he will be the 1st to say that if he could overcome hurdles, everybody else can.
So, how'd I do? Have I spilled Sunny D in everybodies pancakes this beautiful Sunday? If not, well the day is just started.
