Sorry ya'll, I couldn't let this one fly by.
Inquiring minds want to know. What's the skinny on the Taos Humm? And, I has a steady job but, I want to be a Paperback Writer.
Having been involved in the music industry for 40 years now, I am still utterly amazed and, humbled that until about 1967 or 68, the Beatles recorded everything on a 4 track recorder. Basically, they would record 2 or 3 tracks at a time, then bounce it down to one mono track. They would continue in this fashion until they were satisfied and, in a lot of cases, they would do the final mixdown in mono. Even with a state of the art 54 track recorder in my studio, I still can't figure out how those guys achieved what they did.
Nowhere Man.
