I contacted Assistant City Manager John Rowe, and this is basically what he stated...
Currently, the City has no plans to re-use the building. The fire in the gym area caused a great amount of structural damage to that portion of the building. As a result, the Building Official has condemned the gym, and has ordered that it be taken down. As soon as the fire insurance details are complete, it is assumed that the City will take down the gym. It is important for one to note that this is only an assumption at this point.
