Connie Jo Robbins Hutto, 58, of the 3300 block of Nansemond River Drive, Suffolk, passed away peacefully Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008, after a long illness. A native of Portsmouth, she was a former bank teller for Commerce Bank. Connie was a member of Port Norfolk Baptist Church, Junto Womens Club and was active in the Relay For Life cancer program.
She was a June, 1967 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School.
Survivors include her husband, Robert S. Hutto; her mother, Faye Pendleton Robbins of Chesapeake; two sons, William J. Spicer and wife Brandi of Portsmouth and Benjamin James Spicer of Suffolk; two stepsons, Gary Hutto of Ohio and Todd Hutto of Chesapeake; five grandchildren; and a dear friend, Sharon Creekmore of Suffolk.
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Terry Taylor. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
