On January 11th I placed an entry on this thread to the effect that I was retiring from this debate on the board but would be glad to continue it off board and provided my e-mail address to that end. I did this as I felt that this topic had, by then, been more than adequately discussed on this board. To date, I've had no takers on my invitation to continue the debate by e-mail.
I am disappointed that anyone would then feel compelled, days later, to try to continue to engage me on the board. Perhaps, after all, it is easier to debate someone when you know that they have already stated that they would make no further comment in a given forum.
To be fair, it IS, perhaps, possible that you did not know. That being said, I refer you, if you are interested, to my posting here of Jan. 11th, since I really do think this subject has taken up enough space on the board. My Jan. 11th post includes my e-mail addy. I welcome a continuance of this discussion with anyone interested in its pursuit.
