The Washington Co portion of the Potomac River supports both stocked tiger muskie and a growing population of reproducing pure muskie. Tiger muskie can be found from Cumberland downstream, probably to Georgetown, but they are only stocked as far down as Edwards Ferry/Seneca. The 2001 and 2000 yearclasses of pure-strain muskie were fairly strong and anglers can expect to catch good numbers of these fish. The 2000 fish are now in the low-30 inch size range and the 2001 fish will be in the mid to upper 20-inch range this year. Good Luck.
