On friday I caught my first purebreed muskie on a black mepps musky killer. It was in about 2 ft of water and the wind was chugging my boat along. I was making cast parallel to the bank and in the middle of my retrieve the bucktail was slammed sideways by brown and sliver fury. After a 40 second fight involving many jumps and head shakes I realesed the 37 inch 15 pound fish back to it's domain. My hands have not stopped shaking since.
