Posted by MuskieKId on 3/26/2003, 8:22 pm, in reply to "2003 - Year of the muskie!" In the spring, when fishing for Tigers try minnow-sized crankbaits in the colors of the forage fish in the lake. I would troll/cast them adjacent to weeds or drop-offs in the lake. I would also try bass-sized jigs (Gary Yamamoto Twin-tailed Hula Grubs) Wondering if Lake Frank also has Tigers? As the season progresses, go to the larger sized crankbaits. I also would try the largest minnows you can find. I think that you would have a lot of luck at Needwood with them. Although the lake is fished heavily, I think your manuverability with your boat would give you a great advantage. Most anglers fishing there fish from the shore. Keep me posted and good luck!!! Tom

Yep, I heard about the fish. I also saw one that size at Little Senceca. Weight about 28 1/2 pounds.
