Posted by Grundyfish on 3/26/2003, 6:20 pm One of the last N. American freshwater gamefish that I have not caught is a Muskie (pure or hybrid)
I have decided 2003 is going to be the year I add this fish to my list! I am sure you saw the picture of the 50 incher that was found floating at Lake Needwood last year (if you want a copy, I can send you one to your email). I live 10 minutes from the lake and have caught quite a few bass/crappie/bluegill/trout from its waters. Many of the trout fishermen I talk to have stories of half eaten fish and massive strikes so I know the tigers are waiting for me. I spent quite a bit of time casting large crank baits and spinners around the lake last fall w/o luck. Since you spend a lot of time on Seneca, I was wondering if you had any tips for a smaller lake like Needwood. I have a kayak and canoe w/ trolling motor, so I can drag a lure if necessary. I am determined to get my picture with one of these monsters this year any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
