I just looked at the site again. There are no batteries involved. If you are willing to spend the money - why not? I've found that on lakes that are highly pressured, something "new" (never seen before by the fish) may work. The flashing does have an advantage over flashy PAINTED lures in that they be seen at greter depths than painted lures. Certain colors of painted lures will disappear as you go deeper.
