I think some of his ideas probably work and others don't. Kind of depends on the time of year and the lake/river fished. The part about the Tiger Muskies eating everything in the lake kind of tickles me. The reason they are being caught most likely is because the lakes now have more fish in them due to stocking every year. I don't think light line makes a bit of difference if you are trolling in terms of fish hitting your bait. However, your baits will go deeper because of the thin diameter of the line. If that's the case I would use braided line of 50-80 pounds with the same line diameter as 10-12 pound mon. It might casting. However, in a lake like the one I fish you would be kissing a lot of fish and lures goodbye if you used light line due to underwater obstructions, weeds, trees, etc. Wash your hands with sugar? Give me a break!!!! I've never had a Musky hit ahead of a leader yet - does that mean you need a leader ahead of your leader? Small lures? I agree that in the early spring they do work because they match the present size of the forage in the lake. However, I believe (generally speaking) that big baits catch bigger fish. Just my two cents worth. Tom
