I have flyfished for muskies with some success. I use pike flies (rabbit fur strippers, large Dahlberg Divers, and other flies in that 5-8" size range). I use a Sage 8 weight (which is underpowered for fish over about 15 pounds) and coated wire leaders. If I had the resources, I would by a 10 weight rod and make that my dedicated pike/musky set-up.
