Do any of you guys think that Tiger Muskies have differant habits because they come from differant regions? Would everything that would apply to fishing for Tigers back in Minnasota or The Great lakes apply to me here in North Idaho? Many of the lake around here are stocked with Tigers. A few also have Wild Northern Pike. I guess my question is, would the tigers here hit the same type of lures & patterns as they do back east? Use the same types of cover? I been tring to catch a Muskie (Tigers only stocked here, no reg. Muskies) for about 8 years now with no luck. I know they are somewhat hard to catch but I have a lot of success Bass fishing . Probably caught 50 fish last summer in the 5lbs. & over class. Most of the lakes near me that have Tigers are pretty small at about 100 to 500 acres. Most are shallow weedy lakes The state record (39.8 lbs.) came from a lake about 40 miles south of me. Its a middiem size lake at about 1500 acres, with some deep water & rocky points to shallow weed beds. If you guys that know what your doing were fishing a new lake where would you fish it? Like I said I been fishing for them for 8 years now with out even a strike so I'm obviously not doing it right.
Help, HELP, Somebody SAVE ME, H-E-L-P
