Posted by MuskieKid on 1/31/2003, 5:20 pm In the spring, I like Rapala type minnow baits 4-6" long. I also like Gary Yamamoto hula grubs. If you fish where the LM Bass spawn (shallow, in coves adjacent to deep water) you will catch Tigers. Slow your presentation down during this time of the year due to slower metabolism of the fish due to cold water. Theres a Tiger Tips section on my site accessed thru the Tiger Muskie section. Check it out for some tips from some really good fisherman. If you have a tip, leave it here. Please sign my guestbook before leaving.. Thanks for visiting. Tom

Hi: welcome to my board. You will find that the last few posts pretty much tell you where to fish for Tigers. I've been asked what size and colors of lures to use. As I've said before, I believe that if you imitate the present size of the baitfish in your lake and match their colors, you will catch fish. As the season progresses, you can try larger lures to match the present size of the forage at that time. Perch and black/silver are my favorites. I also like all black early in the morning.
