First I have to say great site, it's nice to see a different site just for tigers since in my experiance they act a lot different than true's. I fish northern Wisconsin mostly when I can get up there, the Tigers that are up there are mostly from the trues and northern breeding I don't think our dnr stocks them up there, but there is a great tiger(some 40 pounders) lake near my house(in Green Bay) where they do stock them where i fish them during the week. Here are a few tips on tigers from my experiance with them, first forget night fishing I haven't had anyluck for them at night, best times seem to be right before the sun comes up and alot of times in the middle of the day bright sunny days seem to be better opposite of the true muskies, best times of the year are from the opener to mid June, once the water heats up they get very lathargic. But then again when the water cools down, late September till you cant break the ice out in front of the boat anymore. Ok now baits they do love suckers(please use quick strike rigs, single hook rigs have been prover to have a 100% mortality rate all fish caught on single hook rigs die within 1 year) but if you use artificals downsize the baits size 5 or smaller mepps, rapalas, baby shallow raiders, ect. Try a combination of the 2 hang a sucker ovr the boat near where you do your figure 8's especially if you get follows with no strikes they will usually follow your bait and see the sucker and bam! It is important you set the hook right away with a quick strike sucker rig, they are designed for it and try to set the hook the opposite way the muskie runs. As far as colors on artificals thats something you'll have to figure out since it difers from lake to lake what works wonders on one lake won't get a follow on another lake, but you might want to start with the basic's, black, sucker colored, but have an assortment on hand especially of bucktails, I find I will get alot of follows on bucktails but no strikes, but thats where the sucker comes in. Hopes this helps some. Good Luck.
