This message was left on one of the boards by MD Musky about custom lures/colors: The trick is to find active fish and present a reasonable bait at the right speed and depth. The paint job of the lure is probably a small factor. I have, however, doctored a bunch of baits with gold and silver prism tape and clear coat and have noticed a warm response from the locals (musky)
