Posted by rick on 6/6/2002, 1:57 pm I've had good luck casting an orange Pig from the dock at a local lake. Frankly, I hate the pig jerkbait, but the tigers in my lake like it. I caught my first tiger there on a day I was determined to make the pig work to my satisfaction or retire it. I never got the lure to do much of anything, but the fish crushed it on a fast, nearly straight retrieve. I've since caught several more tigers on that same lure from that dock.
Just found this site, hence the delayed reply to your post. When I see tigers rolling on the surface, I can almost always get them to make a swipe at a giant jackpot. I assume other topwater lures cast at the rolling fish would work, too.
