Sorry I didn't respond sooner. You've got me on this one. I would think by now there would be anglers catching some of them. Did they stock it just once or many times? We have a similar situation here in Maryland. They have been stocked in rivers and lakes. I don't know of any rivers that run into lakes or visa-versa. However, they are doing very well here. Stocking started in 1987, but didn't really get serious until 1992. The Maryland DNR has done a good job of stocking approximtely 2000 fingerlings every year in my home lake, and fishing for them is tough but pretty good. Perhaps the DNR let the program go. I believe that NJ also has stocked "naturals" in some of the lakes. I've never heard of them stocking both in the same lake. From what I've heard, the fishing actually gets better for Muskies if Northerns are also stocked. However, they may apply to "naturals", not Tigers.
