Operation Orange Envelope is going strong and today, Sep 12th, 2019 is mailing day. This is a grassroots national effort by Thai vets to inform Congress, Media, VA, all concerned about the disparity between the treatment of different groups of Vietnam era vets. Vietnam in-country vets and US Navy personnel in near shore and and offshore waters have presumptive status for Agent Orange and herbicide related illnesses. Thai vets do not get presumptive status and have to jump thru many hoops to establish exposure to tactical herbicides.
See the other thread here for more info. If you're on Facebook the mother-lode of Operation Orange Envelope info is in the private FB Group found at https://www.facebook.com/groups/501840310379835/
You'll be approved quickly when you click to join and will likley be surprised at the efforts some vets are putting out in your behalf. Many are mailing out dozens and even hundreds of orange envelopes today- I saw one vet who's mailing out 537 letters!
Join the group and join the effort. If you're a day late and use a white envelope that's ok too. Many thanks to Donald Rogers and others who are heading up this effort.
