Anyone remember a Col. Houser? Not sure of the spelling. During the time Nov. 1968- Dec. 1969
Maybe the name was similar sounding like Houser. I don't know I'm not sure of anything at this point.
Bob McGowan my partner worked as a Top Secret Agent for the Col. I haven't come across any information that would help Bobs case. (Of coarse I haven't) We are three years into this now. Got the denial last June 2013.
Bob worked decoding top secret and classified information for the Col. He would go to the flight line daily retrieve information, have the briefcase handcuffed to him and proceed to take it to the Col. and decode. Then he would be summoned by the Col. given top secret classified information that again would be handcuffed to him and fly it to Saigon. Where he would hand it over to another agent in Vietnam. He would stay over numerous times. He would receive combat pay. This went on during Nov 1968 through Dec 1969.
We've received at least 3 extract packets, all containing the same thing. Yes it confirms he was at Takhli,,,that's it!
Bob will be 67 this April. He's still working full time. I don't know how much longer he will be able to do so. He suffers from IHD ,,,diabetes, colectomy, not to mention a foot that he had surgery on to remove a mass. Screws put in his foot which have broken. He is in such pain daily. I'm scared for him. I wish I could take it all away for him. He is so disheartened when it comes to trying to get anything from the Veterans.
I'm continuing the fight. Waiting for Bobby's doctors Nexus letter. I will take that letter into the rep at the Veterans office in Fairfield Ca. Also we're waiting for he requested payroll information that we requested over two months ago. Susie said it could take 3 months.
The time goes on and on without any help from the VA.

Please do not ever give up. I am 4 years into my appeal.Pray they haven't deleted his pay records. In them you may find a co0mbat pay record. Susie is right I finally go my pay records. I was lucky. I was told they have to delete all pay records and travel vouchers after 6 years.I am so sad the government is doing this. This is one of the only ways a veteran can defend himself. Believe me if you were on that base you were exposed to many things. Herbicides, DDT, lead in the water etc:

Harry thank you for that pep talk, I won't give up. All though Bob gets so upset when it comes to this. This is very emotional on all levels. Yes all the exposure that was given to you all is all that the VA wants to give. Makes my heart so sad

Mary: Just to let you know every dog has his day and we will have ours if we press on. I sign every petition that comes my way. This will not go away.
