My father was John H. Wendell, Jr., who flew F-105s with the 333rd out of Takhli until he was shot down in August 1966. He was a POW in Hanoi until his release in March 1973.
My father passed in 2009, and I am hoping some of you may be able to share stories and remembrances of him during this time in his life. I know that he had the highest respect for the professionalism of the crews who kept him in the air, as well as his fellow pilots.
If any of you are willing to share, you may reach me at ware_wendell@yahoo.com.
On behalf of my family, I would like to thank you in advance both for your time and your service to our country.
