I have many photos from the 333rd at Takhli when I was stationed there from 69 - 70. I was an asst. crew chief in A flight working nights under Tsgt Unch and I believe Tsgt Parsons. I was also in the Tool crib for a few weeks. Had my engine run up certificate and egress training and have been trying to locate Capt. DeJong who took me up in his 105 twice. A memory that is still fresh in my mind. He was a great pilot who had well over 100 missions and on one occassion told me to "hold on we are going to touch the face of God" All I can remember is it was two o'clock in the afternoon and I could see stars and the curvature of the earth He yelled "Geronimo" and aimed the plane face down to the earth. Hitting AB my mask was slidding up and I could not grab it as the G-forces were so intense. Then he came out of the dive about a hundred feet off the deck and I slapped my face. I got a bloody nose and when we returned to the revetment, he was laughing and said Your okey kid and threw water on me. A little before the rainy season....Many great and sad memories from Takhli my brothers. I can and will send the photos to any of you who respond. 183
