My husband, Peter Crockett Mosshart, was in the USAF and served at Takhli from December 1967 to December 1968 as an Electronic Warfare Repairman. He died almost 3 years ago of 2 types of Cancer that are on the VA Presumptive List. The letter his Oncologist wrote stated Peter's Cause of Death was from exposure to Herbicides. Every day that Peter worked he went out to the Flight Line at Takhli, and removed the Pods from the Airplanes. He took the Pod back to the Workshop, repaired the electronics, and took the Pod back to the Plane at the Flight Line and reinstalled the Pod. This is the job he did for the year he was at Takhli. The VA denied my Claim for Spousal Benefits from Peter's death 26 days after I submitted it. I received the Letter of Denial on Christmas Eve Day. Their Denial stated it was because Peter had no reason to be near the Perimeter. I am hoping there is someone reading this Post, who knew Peter at Takhli and can tell me how the area he worked in could have put him near the Perimeter on a regular basis. If you can help me with this, I would really appreciate it and need your reply immediately, as I have to send all the documents for my Appeal to the VA this week before Thursday. Thank You, Thank You...Peter was a very, very intelligent man with a truly wonderful sense of humor and I miss him greatly. Betty
