Does anyone know the official definition of "On or near the perimeter" I deployed with the 49th during constant guard III as a aircraft arresting barrier crew chief, I filed last March and also just receive a letter every now and then stating its being worked on. We installed the barriers by digging deep trenches 150' from both sides of the runway to anchor the barriers, then when in operation we staged waiting for the aircraft to take the cable at least 150'to 200' and in my opinion well into the perimeter . On one side of the runway was the flight line and base, on the other side was no mans land, completely void of
any vegetation where we installed one side of the
BAK 12 arresting barrier and staged. I will post
again when I get either a denial or approval. I will not give up.
