I came to Takhli from DaNang in late 72. There was a civilian woman shot by a Thai Guard at the front gate. He tried to stop her to search a bundle she was carrying and she rode off on her honda 90 or whatever scooter and he shot her in the back, walked over, retreaved the object/bundle, and walked back to his post. Several of us were on a bus heading downtown when it happened. we were instructed to keep going as it was a local affair and we were not to get involved. I have been trying for years to find anyone that might have been on that bus that day. It is a memory I still can see clear as day. I have even had a number of dreams around the event
