Hello- I am sorry for the loss of your father. My father served in Thailand at Takhli during the same time period. When he returned he suffered grand mal seizures which military doctors could never find the basis of. He recently suffered a stroke and is in a rehab-hospital. Upon retirement he was only granted a 33 percent service related disability rating. Just yesterday he told my mother that everyone on the border was exposed to Agent Orange and that the planes in the hangars had Agent Orange he was exposed to while checking communication equipment. It's been confusing for us because he never mentioned this to the V.A., or to any of us before. My mom is going to try to get more info out of him, his name is (ret) SMSGT William "Bill" Akina. I'm worried about my mother's survivor benefits as well. Good luck to you - I'll keep in touch - Steph Colston
