My father, Lt. Col (ret) Derrick C. Hibbard, served with the 355 Tactical Fighter Wing 1968-1969 Takhli. He was a Major at the time he was there. He was a Maintenance Officer. He received the Bronze Star but I have no idea how or why he received this medal. Would you be able to help me? He served with Bill Brown (also a Maj. at the time)and a John Hyde. My dad died in 1986. I'm only recently finding things out about him from my mother. He never really talked about it when I was growing up. I would like to find out how I can find out how and why he received the Bronze Star.
