Ater 42 years i thought i had forgotten how to spell Takli,,i was a jet engine mechanic on the F-105's,,long hours and short pay,,i was in one of he first groups sent to Takli from Yokoto and left thialand in dec 1966, got discharged in jan 1968 from Nellis and said i hope i never see another aircraft long as i live..well to make a long story short i started school the summer of 1968 under the G.I.bill and after 18 months got my airframe and power plant license..ended up working at Robins AFB Ga in acft maintainence and after 32 years with gov't finally retired..what i want to mention is that at Robins AFB, i ran into a guy i reconized that was on the RB-66's at Takli while i was there,, his name was rodger blizzard,,he told me he still stayed in touch with many of his friends from there and they have a reunion every year,,just goes to show you how small the world is,,love this site and plan to read all the post,,
