G'day Dick, I feel very fortunate to have recently bought two of Major Cisco's vintage aluminum jet fighter models. These models are of the F-105 Thunderchief & F-100 Super Sabre ...& are both truly wonderful pieces of USAF memorabilia. I also received a couple of original photographs. One being of Major Cisco sitting in the cockpit of his F-100 (pictured with a senior officer) & the other a truly magnificent photograph of the entire 513th 'Tactical Air' out front of the F-100 (hope I got that right ...do not currently have the photograph on hand to reference).
I am based in Melbourne, Australia & recently purchased the items in question from a US based seller ...he has been liting an assortment of Major Cisco's USAF paraphernalia. Such items include/d flight manuels, maps, flight badges, the models of which I speak & also Major Cisco's black & white cheque flight helmet visor. For that matte ...if any of Major Cisco's friends & colleagues are interested I would be more than happy to supply you with the contact details of the seller in question?
My reason for contacting you is quite simple: I would like to accrue some information about Major Cisco's USAF history? I do not wish to offend anybodies sensibilities & am not asking for information of a personal nature ...but would really value being able to attach such material to the jet fighters in my care ...in the hope that when they reach their next custodian they will continue to be viewed as more than 'mere' models?
Kind regards, Nicholas
