Bill, I am not on top of this VA thing but I have seen how they work and what they do with my own claim. It has been 24 months now and I have one denial and one (ball faced) lie on record. I am in Arizona and the state has a Vet advicasy group in this state, check and see if the state you live in has one also. I volunteer with the DAV here at our local VA Hospital and we have a pretty good guy working with the vets. If your DAV guy is a slacker, let DAV national here about it and don't give up on the system (that is what they want you to do). The DD Form 149, Sep 2007 is used to request a Correction to Military Records. Complete to form and provide as much hard infor as possible and submit it to the branch of service in which you served, addresses are provided on the back of the form. Again I suggest you work with some one who can and will represent you with the VA. Good luck
