John, In a post below you stated that you got a updated DD214. Would you explain the process and what did they change that helped you?.I did go to the DAV at the VA hospital and the DAV rep acted like I was wanting a hand-out. I have one of the ao cancers and my boots were on the ground in vn but I'm at a loss as to how to go about proving it. I think they used ao at takhli. I do recall them building a road to the POL tanks across the runway and they killed the jungle around the tank farm down to bare dirt. But I don't think that is the way to try to prove ao cancer to the va. My first assignment was at a small air base in southern Taiwan for 15 months. I volunteered for vn and got Takhli for 12 months. My flight was commercial airline that stopped in Saigon for a few hours. I got my records and medical records but there is nothing about vn. I was tdy to Clark P.I. for 60 days during my stay in Taiwan and there is nothing in my records about that tdy. Came home in late 67. You seem to be on top of this va and ao thing. I would like to know what my nest step should be? Thanks for any help.
