Dan,
I was there at Takhli in april 1973. Too my knollage, I Do Not believe or recall this shooting ever happened. An event like that would have been Rumored all over the base and down town in a very Short Time IF this shooting did tack place. However, I heard No Such Rumor of this ever happening while I was there at Takhli. I was there on two back to back TDY's from oct 72 to sept 73 with the F-111A's out of Nellis.
When things happened such as a shooting or any type of an event of that nature, there would be many rumors floating around the base and the town. And to my nollage, I do Not recall this event ever happening.
