I was in the 354TFS when the six F-111As came to Takhli on 17 March 1968. If I remember, three were lost and two replacements came to Takhli. Did get to support them on some missions. I hitched a ride on a C141, in November 1968, returning the detachment of F-111As to Nellis. I think the squadron's nickname was Grim Reaper.
