I went to Takhli in March of 67 on a contract stretch 8. We also landed in Tan Son Nhut, but didn`t get off the plane. I`m trying to help a widow of a friend that was stationed with me at Takhli. She has gone to the VA for assistance, and like everyone else they want proof that her husband stopped in Vietnam. I`m not 100% sure that he did, but I think he did. As you know the problem is in proving it. Seems to me any time we stopped in Nam we got a little certificate that allowed us not to pay income tax for that month. Does anyone else remember that or am I just getting old. (I`ll never admit it). Any assistance appreciated.
