Below is the organization I'm looking at to see if I can form a local chapter of: http://www.homesforourtroops.org/site/PageServer Seems like to me that if local chapters or some other local community based group would start doing this for our returning disable vets, the we could help them out significantly.... My thought is this…. Today’s returning veterans fare significantly better as far as attitude and support than we did. But there are a much larger number of returning veterans that are wounded. Someone needs to do basically for them what Habitat for Humanity is doing for the poor…. But I envision veterans doingit for these disabled returning Veterans. I’m fairly certain that once a movement to help these guys in this way gets started, it will blossom to where every city with a returning disabled Veteran will want to do the same thing…. The needs of the disabled vary greatly. Modifying existing homes or building new homes would be a GREAT BIG THANK YOU for their sacrifices…. I think it is possible to get Veteran Organizations involved in helping too. Yeah the general public can help, but I thank the veterans should be the driving force. They know what these guys have gone through to some degree.
