I do remember the crash that night. Acually I think it was around 1am or so and the weasle was coming back from a B-52 cover mission. Me and two other buddies from the 354th TFS were sitting on the wing of a 105D model replacing a bird gage and we just got to work from down town and were pretty well blitzed. All I remember is hearing the throttles cut back and then all the sparks and then the missles lighting up at the end of the runway. I didnt think anyone was still around that would remember that. This is really neat to trade old stories.
