Jim, I'm fairly certain you are eligible but this time period is after the 355th TFW left Takhli. The time frame for award of the VN Gallantry Cross is 8Feb62 -28Mar73. It was awarded to most units in most units i8n Vietnam and Thailand. If you can remeber what wing/squadron/unit you were assigded to during your TDY I'll try to do some research and see if I can verify the award and any other unit awards for that period. You should also be eligible for at least one campaign star for your Vietnam Service ribbon.If i can verify the awards, you can send a form to the AF Board for correction of military records and get your DD214 updated.
