I would say that its probably compares to a 15 western saddle... as was advertised. I have found in the treeless.. you can't really tell a lot of difference in the 15"seat 16" seat .. maybe because no tree . perhaps this is what he was talking about?. If that confused you more. are you going to be using it for trail and endurance type riding?. You could also have him measure it and actually send you a picture of the measurement?.. Sorry.. I couldn't help you more.. just don't know that saddle brand.. but if they have a website you want to pass on.. I will look at it and give you a opinion. --Previous Message--

Ok.. I'm confused also =).
First .. I don't know this type of saddle. Sydney saddleworks?.. do they actually have a website? I goggled without luck.
maybe explain this way.. if they say the 17 compares to a 15 western.. I have found that in treeless.. a 15 or 16 seat(western) is pretty much the same. its when you get into the 17 seat western (20 english) that there is a big difference.
sounds silly.. but it may work?? =)
: Hello,
:
: The saddle I was looking at was a Sydney
: Saddleworks english style and the
: description said 17"=15" western
: but then when I asked the dealer he said the
: one inch rule did apply. I was totally
: confused so I backed out of the deal.
:
: Thanks for the info!
