JC Smith wanted to thank all the teams that came out this weekend and participated in the BBQ Tournament. While the numbers were not as large as years past, the games were very competitive and fun for all. JC wants to congratulate the winners of each division Pinehurst Chiropractic (6 homeruns), Statesville Transmission (3 Homeruns), and Tarheel Softball (1 Homerun). A special salute goes to C&H and Wicked Sticks. To anyone who missed the game Saturday between C&H and Statesville Transmission.....well let's say it was everything you want to see in a softball game (great competition and great sportsmanship). The same thing for Sunday's Final with Tarheel Softball and Wicked Sticks in which the tying and winning runs were scored with 2 outs in the bottom of the seventh. Both teams played very hard and displayed great sportsmanship. JC would also like to thank Mike Poe, Ron Daniels, Crockett, Jennifer, and Tracey for all their help. The tournament would not have been as successful without your help. Once again to everyone, thanks for making the BBQ Festival a success.
