ALL TEAMS MUST BE READY TO PLAY SATURDAY MORNING at 10:00AM
Entry in to this tournament constitutes acknowledgement and agreement to this condition.
Please DO NOT call the Tournament Director to request an exemption from an early game as ALL TEAMS will be expected to play at 10:00am!

ENTRY FEE: The $300 entry fee will be paid in advance to the Tournament Director. All rosters shall be on-line at www.PlayNSA.com. NO Rosters will be allowed to be brought to the field by a team participating in the tournament.
DIVISIONS of PLAY: REC, SUPER REC, and COMPETITIVE
- REC teams can not have any male players that have played Class C open or higher in 2009.
- SUPER REC teams can not have more than 2 male players that have played Class C open or higher in 2009.
- COMPETITIVE teams have open rosters
ROSTER CHECK IN: One hour before your first scheduled Game Time
Please bring your entire team at one time
Roster Check with Driver's License or Government Issued picture ID will be done at this time.
YOUR STATE DIRECTOR must submit/approve Rosters to be used at the tournament site.
Roster checks will be conducted prior to team's first game.
Each player will be required to have Government Issued picture ID with them at all times.
Names will NOT be added to any roster at the tournament site for ANY REASON.
Wrist bands will be secured on each legal player’s wrist and must be worn during entire tournament. If a player loses their wristband then they must be rechecked with their Drivers License - Government Issued photo ID.
No Driver's License or Government Issued photo ID - NO BAND, NO BAND-NO PLAY!
Additional roster checks may be conducted at any time during the tournament.
FORMAT: 3 Game Guarantee
MANAGERS MEETING: Saturday morning at 9:00am at the Softball Complex
FIRST GAME TIMES: Teams will be seeded according to the NSA National Points system. Start Times will be posted by Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 6:00pm on the Men’s and Women’s Message Board at www.carolinansa.com
SOFTBALLS: Each team will be given 6 Softballs upon check-in at the Tournament. Additional softballs will be available for purchase.
BATS: Only NSA approved bats will be allowed. Check the NSA National Website for a complete and up to date listing of approved equipment.

Please check bats by Manufacturer - Model NUMBER and NAME, if a bat is not posted on the approved list, it will NOT be allowed. ** Note: It is the coaches/players' responsibility to check their bat(s) to the list prior to bringing them into play. **
You may contact the manufacturer to inquire on the status of an unlisted bat.
GAMES: It is required that all teams be AT THE FIELD, READY TO PLAY - 1/2 Hour PRIOR TO SCHEDULED GAME TIME. GAMES MAY BEGIN UP TO 30 MINUTES EARLY IF A FIELD IS OPEN.
PROTEST: There will be a $75.00 CASH ONLY protest fee. If protest is allowed, the fee will be refunded. All umpire judgment calls are final. Bat protests are $250 CASH ONLY protest per bat.
CONDITIONS: The tournament committee reserves the right to rule on matters as they may occur, including any deemed necessary to complete the tournament. This includes changing the tournament format, due to unforeseen circumstances (weather, etc.). The committee also assumes that all players are competing at their own risk and will not be liable for accidents or injuries. Entry in to this tournament constitutes agreement of these conditions.
UNIFORMS: To be in strict accordance with NSA team dress code. See the NSA Rule Book for more details.
NO METAL OR METAL TIPPED CLEATS will be allowed.
PLAYING RULES: NSA rules will govern all play in strict accordance with the NSA Rule Book.

NOTICE: It is the responsibility of the Coach/Manager and/or Sponsor for knowing the NSA rules and bylaws.
- Ignorance of an NSA rule or bylaw does not negate the penalty.
- Entry in to any NSA tournament constitutes acknowledgement and agreement to all rules and
bylaws of NSA, including the refund policy. There are NO entry refunds after the entry
deadline.

NOTE: ANY Team found with illegal, ineligible, suspended player(s) or teams that have not met the NSA Qualifying procedures will be immediately disqualified and removed from the tournament. Teams will be removed without refund to their entry fee, and without reimbursement for any travel expenses or any other fees incurred by the team, spectators or sponsors. The team, coach and player(s) can be suspended from NSA.
HOME RUN RULE: REC – 0, SUPER REC – 1HR & 1-up, COMPETITIVE 3HR & 1-up
In the REC and SUPER REC divisions, if you hit a HOMERUN and do not have a HOMERUN to hit, it will be an INNING ENDING OUT!
ADMISSION: There is NO admission charge to this event.
AWARDS: Individual & team sponsor awards will be given in accordance with NSA Rules.

SOUVENIRS: GameDay Promotions will have a large selection of souvenir items at the complex available for purchase.
PARK POLICIES: Players and spectators are expected to follow park rules at all times.
- No ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, illegal drugs, weapons, or firearms of any kind are allowed in park facilities.
- The park is not responsible for accidents or injuries incurred while using the park or it facilities.
- Motorized vehicles allowed in authorized areas only.
WEATHER HOTLINE: TBA at Manager’s Meeting
CONDUCT: Managers are responsible for knowing the rules and keeping their players and spectators under control.
Abusive language/behavior will not be tolerated. Spectators, Players and/or teams may be removed from the tournament without refund.
LOCAL ATTRACTION INFO: The softball complex is located adjacent to the Burlington City Municipal Park. There are cookout shelters, train rides, carousel, children’s rides and much more!
