Fished Wed, Fri and Sat launching out of Occoneechee each time. Caught most bait right in Sandy Creek but others were catching it in the marina cove and Occoneechee #2. Fish were caught during those days at buoy 16, between the old and new Hwy 58 bridges, above the RR trussel and at Bluestone from the two boats in our group. Most fish were caught on 4 - 6" shad but the largest were caught on small 3" bait. Fish were caught on freelines and down rods. The mudline was back to Bluestone by Saturday and seemed to be settling out. Water temps ranged from 68 in the am to 73 in the pm. Fish are scattered from Goat Island to Bluestone. Lots of bait in the same areas we caught fish. The birds had not really started working the Clarksville area yet but as the water temps cool into the 60's striper fishing in that area will continue to improve.
