It works well, but the plastic piece on the top came loose and the antenna wobbled. I fixed it for about $1 with a 1 1/2" threaded PVC end cap—available in the plumbing department of any home center or hardware store. I drilled a hole in the center of the end cap using a 13?64" drill bit. This allowed it to fit down over the antenna above the loose base. To get the cap to fit over the base, I partially sanded the threads using a sanding disk on my rotary tool. (The threaded cap fit better than an unthreaded one.) I drilled two 7/64" holes through the sides of the cap, opposite each other, and into the antenna casing, and then used two stainless steel screws to secure the cap in place. I put silicone around the antenna where it comes out of the hole in the Paul Mohme

PVC cap. This fix took all the wobble out of the antenna and assured a tight, waterproof fit.
