
Posted by StriperChaser on February 11, 2005, 6:59 am Buggs Island Bait and Tackle, (434) 374-8934, reports striper are hitting well at the upper end of creeks, particularly the back of Eastland, Buckhorn and Bluestone on live bait or casting flukes or calcuttas. Watch for the birds to tell you where the fish are. Catfish and white perch are slow. Crappie are good in shallow water near blowdowns, and largemouth bass are good in 6 to 12 feet of water using jerkbaits and crankbaits. Link: Read the Article
