Posted by StriperChaser on December 31, 2004, 7:51 am If you are headed to the Outer Banks of North Carolina for some New Year Day saltwater fishing, you will need a fishing license. Beginning Jan. 1, North Carolina joins Virginia and several other states in requiring a license to fish saltwater. The cost of an annual license for residents and nonresidents is $15. You can’t go back in May and purchase another.
