Stripers can be caught year-round at a few local reservoirs. The largest fish are traditionally caught during the winter months. Locally, the best waters that harbor striped bass are Pyramid Lake and Castaic. Stripers are available in both year-round, but they are most vulnerable to anglers during the winter when trout are planted. Link: Read the Article
