"I restrict my guiding to friends and associates, and we still catch plenty of stripers but not as many 20-pound fish as we used to. Years ago, a 20-pound striper from Roanoke Rapids was pretty common and didn't draw much attention; today, a fish of that size gains plenty of attention.
